The name Middletons is right out of the classic Lynd & Lynd sociological study of the average American's life in the fictitious small city of Middletown (actually Muncie, IN) of the 1930s. It preceded the Kinsey study of the average American's sexual mores. Gotta love history, really, no sarcasm here. History rocks solid.
